Kenneth Leslie Bouche passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on July 4, 2025, in
Brea, Ca.
Kenneth was born September 17, 1942, at St. Luke Hospital, Pasadena, CA, to Lewis
and Carol (Snyder) Bouche. His was the 2nd oldest of his three siblings.
Ken's grow up in the San Diego area with his mother, father and brothers. Ken left
high school at age of 18 and joined the Army in 1960. He got his GED in the army.
The story he told Sharon was "He joined the army because of Elvis Presley movie
"G. I. Blue". He wanted to go to Germany. During Ken's 10 years of service in the
army he was in Germany, Korea and Vietnam.
In 1964, while still in army, he married Denette and started his family. Daughter
Candy born in 1965 and Damon in 1968.
Kenneth Bouche was a Vietnam vet earning the Bronze Star January 9th, 1968,
Silver Star,
1st Purple hearts 1967 and 2nd Purple hearts on January 28, 1968.
Kenneth was known to his friends & comrades as "KEN" or "SARGE".
Kenneth left the army, in February 1970, to spend more time with his growing
family. They moved/lived in Brea where he worked at Alpha Beta then continue
with Ralphs. He retired early because of the health issue. By then he was walking
with a cane. Don't know the exact year he retired but sometime before he was
60years.
Denette passed away in 8-5-2006. Later in 2017 Ken's son Damon passed.
Ken and Sharon met over the internet on a senior people meet in 2010. They meet
at a near-by restaurant. A year later they were married April 2, 2011. Got to travel
to many "troop reunions" and vacation trips together before he got too sick to
travel anymore. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sharon; His daughter Candy
and his brothers Dennis, Frank and 3 grandchildren: Thomas, Sara and Patrick.
Kenneth will rest peacefully next to his son Damon and first wife Denette at
Memory Garden Memorial Park. Cemetery, Brea, California.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth's name to
Wounded Warrior Project.
What we can Remember of our beloved Ken Bouche. Rest in Peace.
Note: The Viewing is Sunday, July 20 at 10am and Funeral service will be held
Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 12:00pm at Memory Garden Memorial Park, 455 W.
Central Ave, Brea, CA 92821.
A reception will follow after funeral at Sharon's home 11244 Mohall Ave, Whittier,
CA 90604.
