Grace Kirk Bouche

Grace Bouche, 94, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, at The Pines in Poughkeepsie, NY. Born on April 11th, 1931, she is preceded by her father, Dr. Robert Cumming, and her mother, Jean Knox Cumming. Grace lived a long, full, and generous life, marked by dedication to her family, her friends, her work, and her community.
Grace attended Poughkeepsie High School, and later began her career at IBM, meeting the love of her life, Paul Bouche. After their marriage, she retired from IBM and moved to Monroe, NY, where she worked part-time, before relocating to Raleigh, NC. There, Grace continued her professional journey working at SAS for several years. In her later years, she volunteered at Dorcas Charities.
Grace leaves behind three children, Jon, Andrew and Judy, along with two nieces, Heather Cimorelli (Butch) and Holly Miller. She was predeceased by her husband Paul in 2009, her daughter Nikki in 2002, brother-in-law John Miller in 2012, niece Gaye Sorrentino in 2015, and her sister Julia Miller in 2025. Her family will forever cherish her warmth, kindness, and strength.
The family would like to thank Judy and Mary, for the loving care given to Grace at her home. A thank you to the compassionate team at the Pines Nursing Home for your support and kindness during Grace's illness. A special thank you to Samuel, Susan, Jamie, and Lauren, (Hudson Valley Hospice) who provided exceptional care, allowing Grace's final journey to be one of comfort and dignity. The family will always be thankful for the kindness and love from all; and will never forget for the difference it made in Grace's life.
Calling hours are on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 1pm to 3pm at the Doyle Funeral Home on Hooker Ave in Poughkeepsie. The service will conclude with words from family and friends.
