Margo Louise Monroe, 74, of Kingston, NY, passed onto her eternal life at home surrounded by her beloved son Freddie Monroe and granddaughter Danashia Monroe. Margo was born March 27th, 1951, to Clara Nicholas-Johnson and Thomas Johnson of Poughkeepsie, NY. She graduated from Poughkeepsie High School. She moved to Kingston, NY purchasing her home. She married now ex-husband Frederick Monroe Sr and gave birth to her only child Freddie Monroe Jr. Margo loved spending time with her family and friends along with activities such as picnics and family reunions. She was a Godly woman attending the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie, NY and later joining the Riverview Baptist Church of Kingston, NY. Margo worked for various companies until finding her ideal job at Dyno-Nobel for almost 3 decades before enjoying her retirement, which included being a nursing CNA. Margo is survived by son Freddie, grandkids Danashia, Deion, Dalicianna, Jaelle, great grandkids Nautica, Reaghan and Jordyn, siblings Janette, Ralph, Larry, Clifton, Lorraine, Gail Carlton, Kay and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings Marion, Izetta, Betty, Deborah, William, Leonard, Robert, Donald and Arthur. Visitation is Wednesday February 18th from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Ebenezer Baptist Church 15 Smith Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Going home services begin at 11:00am with Pastor Michael Bell officiating, burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
