Charles Robert Gorman, 83, of Fort Washington, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024.
Charles was born on December 18, 1940 in Philadelphia to Charles and Mildred (nee Robbins) Gorman. He was the loving husband of Evelyn (nee McDuell) for 57 years, father to Scott and Lisa, and beloved P Pop to grandsons, Charlie and Patrick.
A graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School and Temple University, Charles was exceptionally gifted in Mathematics. He graduated in the Math Honors and Tutoring Programs. He was offered a full fellowship to the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania to pursue his master's degree and doctorate but declined to being working. He earned his MBA from Villanova University and served as an adjunct professor of statistics at Temple, St. Joseph's, Drexel, and Villanova Universities as he began his career in marketing. He worked at Scott Paper and IMS. He then served as director of marketing for Honeywell before starting a private consulting firm and retiring.
Known for his loyalty and great sense of humor, Charles (Chuck or Charlie to friends) maintained many close friendships since childhood and made many new friends along the way. He treasured spending time in Ocean City, NJ with his family after having visited regularly his entire life. He loved to exercise, play Sudoku, and watch the Phillies, but his greatest joy in life was being a grandfather.
