Charles Herman Greer, age 85, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2023, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. Charles was born in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Joseph N. and Myra (Crisp) Greer. He was a resident of Gallipolis, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Loftis) Greer, of Gallipolis, Ohio; one sister, Emogene (Greer) White of Oak Hill, Ohio; two children, Charles H. (LeighAnn) Greer and Shelby J. Jones; grandchildren: Jessica and Brendon Greer, Michael (Laken) Conger, Brandon Lanier, Logan Lanier, and Josh Bass; three great- grandchildren: Xander and Tatum Greer and Cora Lanier; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters. Bertha Lyons of Jackson, Ohio, Margaret Caulley of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Myrtle Hall of California; brothers, Joe Jr., John D., and Jack all of Jackson County, Ohio, Walter of Loveland, Ohio, and
David of California.
Charles was a member of the Ohio Labor Union.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, at the Beaver Union Cemetery in Beaver, Ohio with Paster Stan Howard officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Online condolences may be sent to .
