Charles Harris, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the age of 70. He was a native of Crown Point, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Charles was a machine operator for over 25 years with Jefferson Parish Recreation. Beloved husband of Elenor Harris. Loving father of Lisa Phipps, Mavis, Avis, Polly, and Clifford Harris, and Joseph Terrell. Grandfather of Mariyah, Joshua, Jr., and Jeremiah Harold. Son of the late Clifford Harris, and Stella Mitchell Harris. Grandson of the late Hillary and Paulina Mitchell. Brother of Shelia Mitchell Singleton, Joseph, Cornell, Anthony, Arnold, and Randall Harris, and the late Brenda, Robert, and Gerald Harris.  Nephew of Elvina Westly, Diane Lewis, Betty Johnson, Gervin and Harold Mitchell, and Alvin Poole. Father in law of Clifford Phipps. Brother in law of Leroy Hughes, Dwight Singleton, Evans Foley, and Janice Hughes, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Life Center Cathedral and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Life Center Cathedral 2100 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Bishop J. D. Wiley Taylor officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
