Charles W. Harton

Charles W. Harton, 68, of Houston, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born September 22, 1957, in Washington, he was a son of the late Gaylord and Betty Grim Harton. Chuck attended Washington High School and was a 30-year member of the Chartiers Township Police Force, retiring in 2015. While on the police force, he was part of the DARE program and the police honor guard. As a former police officer, he helped direct traffic for Central Christian Academy in Houston. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #22 in Meadow Lands. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Andrea Pallegrini Thomas-Harton; two children, Adam Thomas of Washington and Amber Gill (Timothy) of Houston; a sister, Donna Marlene Huffman (Nelson) of Washington; a brother, David Harton (Linda) of Washington; two nephews, Frank Huffman and David Harton; and a niece, Beth Harton. At the request of the deceased, there is no visitation. A memorial service to celebrate Chucks life will be planned for a date and time to be announced.
