Charles Hauser

Charles Hauser, 86, of Frackville, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 30th with his loving family by his side.

Born in Williamsport, Charlie was a son of the late Charles and Sarah (Eck) Hauser. Before retiring, Charlie was the store manager of the former ACME in Frackville.

Charlie was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville; the Frackville Knights of Columbus; the Frackville and Shenandoah Senior Citizens and was a volunteer for the Frackville Food Bank. Charlie was a longtime driver for the Frackville Community Ambulance Association and enjoyed listening and dancing to the Polkas.

Charlie was also in the United States Army reserves for six years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Gramley and a sister, Joan Campbell.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Ann (Muclada) Hauser, Frackville; his son Charles "Chuck" Hauser and his wife Karen of Berwyn; his daughter, Cheryl Ann Bainbridge and her husband John of Auburn; his sister, Sara Belle Leuthner of Williamsport; his six grandchildren: Justin, Ciarra, Cody, Emily, Elizabeth and Evelyn; his great-grandchildren: Nolan, Sariah, Brielle and John; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 8th from St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville (St. Ann's Church) with Fr. Guency Isaac, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends and relatives are invited to his visitation at the church on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Englewood section of Frackville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made, in Charlie's name, to the Frackville Community Ambulance Association at 52 E. Arch Street Frackville, PA 17931 or to St. Joseph the Worker Parish at 7 S. Broad Mountain Ave., Frackville PA 17931

I was Charlie and Mary Ann´s mailman for 20 years. What great people! They treated me like a king. I never saw Charlie in a bad mood-He always had a smile on his face.

Charles, you are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to begin, ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
