I am so sad to just know be learning about Charlie's passing. I work with Charlie at Hill's. he was such an inspiration to me. I would say he always watched out for me and my family. I also found out that he watched out for my dad and uncle's when Charlie was a cop. He always made sure they made it home safe from the race track. He will truly be missed. I was so very blessed to have had the chance to know him.

I knew Charlie for around 30 years. I was young when I first met him and didnt realize what a blessing he would be to my life back then. He was always concerned about other people. Always compassionate and kind. The love he had in his heart I know only came from one from one place. God. It was so evident to me. I recognized it and it was a mutual understanding between the two of us when we talked. We both knew where that came from. When I would see him periodically in the later years at the car wash downtown we always talked there when I would come thru. He always took the time and wanted to know about Rick and I and our boys Kelten and Jordan. He remembered seeing them with us at the races when they were little and at the flea markets. He and Rick worked together at the police department. He was always concerned for Rick and I and our lives and it meant so much to me. I will never forget that. Charlie such a kind soul and so genuine. Thank you Charlie for allowing the love of Christ to shine in your life. To the family...Wanda,daughter, grandkids, sisters, know that he is with the Lord. I have no doubt in that. Not because of living a good life...one with no problems....but because he accepted Gods gift of life to him...and let it live thru him in love for others. I will miss him...but will see him again someday.
