Charles A. Heroux, age 79 of Stoneham, died on Monday May 27 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. 

He was born in Boston on May 19, 1945. He was the son of the late Charles and Rose (Benda) Heroux.

Charlie was raised in Roxbury and attended Boston Trade School and North Bennett Street School in the North End. Following high school, he joined the Marines in 1963. His hobbies included photography, playing pool, drawing and sketching, wood burning, and watching movies and sports. He also enjoyed traveling, spending time at the beach, and visiting with friends and family. 

He is survived by his life-long partner and love Mary Pagliuca of Stoneham, his daughter Cassandra Heroux of Attleboro, his brother Steve Heroux and his wife Janet of Florida, his sister Denise McShane and her husband Paul of Stoughton, his nephew Steve Heroux of Texas, his niece Vanessa Coulson and her husband Phil of Michigan, his stepson Ron Pagliuca and his wife Melissa of Haverhill, and his stepson Darren Pagliuca of Woburn. He was also the adoring Papa to Amber, Ava, Evan, and Cole.  

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Sunday June 2 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Monday June 3 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, 
Knollwood Cemetery, Canton.
