Charles C. Huebschen, of Elcho, died on May 11, 2025 in DiamondHead Mississippi. He was 79 years old. He was born on August 28, 1945 in Milwaukee, a son of the late Byron and Lillian (Fox) Huebschen. He married Jill Ladik on October 9, 1982 at Holy Family Church in Elcho.
Charles graduated of Boys Tech High School in Milwaukee. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1966-1967. Charles was a member of the 196th Light Infantry Brigade, F-TRP 17th Calvary Division, and the American Legion Post 377. He worked for 33 years in Electric Motor Assembly for Louis Allis Company in Milwaukee.
Charles lived on Post Lake, just outside of Elcho for 25 years. He spent much of his time traveling the country with his wife Jill in their motor home. Charles and Jill often camped together in Mississippi, until they decided to permanently move there in 2024.
In addition to his wife of 42 years Jill, survivors include two daughters, Heidi (Dennis) Herdeman and Heather Huebschen; grandson, Jonathon (Lilly) Newport; grandaughter, Tess Herdeman; great-grandaughters, Anja and Sofija Newport; sister, Cathy Lowe; brother, Bryon Huebschen; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and in-laws he was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Wanta and her husband Rhode; sister-in-laws, Marsha Huebschen and Carol Ladik; and brother-in-laws, Albert Lowe and Jack Ladik.
A funeral service will be held on July 13, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Elcho Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on July 13, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Bradley Funeral Home
