He embraced his work with a work ethic that often had him described as a workaholic, always willing to go the extra mile.
David had a vibrant personality that drew people to him. His infectious laughter and outgoing nature made everyone around him feel at ease. He had a unique talent for lighthearted pranks, often pushing the buttons of those close to him, which brought joy and a sense of fun to gatherings.
As a devoted husband to Wendy Collingwood Jones, David shared a life full of warmth and companionship. He was an adoring father to two sons, Charles B. Jones and David B., who carry forward his legacy of love and strength. His bond with his father, Rev. Charlie Jones, was a source of pride and joy throughout his life. Charles also enjoyed deep connections with his siblings, including Chrissy and Kenny Yeager, Jenny and Doug Gray, and Leigh Ann and Bill Martin, who remain grateful for the memories they created together.
David was not only a beloved family member but also a passionate teacher of underage drivers, imparting vital skills with care and dedication. In his youth, he was known for his impressive escapism antics from upstairs, a testament to his adventurous spirit. He found great joy in the simplicity of life, especially fishing and spending time outdoors, which often led to treasured moments at home with his family. David had a love for Rock and Roll music, and for three consecutive years, he proudly held the title of family Rook champion, a title that brought laughter and friendly competition among relatives.
David is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jon Yeager, Kelsie Dickey, Kalynn Haymaker, Josh King, and Megan Birke, who will fondly remember his playful spirit and the joyous moments spent together.
David Jones is predeceased by his beloved mother, Janet Crider Jones. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will continue to inspire and uplift the lives he touched.
