Charles D. Jones

Charles D. Jones, affectionately known as Dave, passed away on December 17, 2025, at the
age of 84. Born on October 26, 1941, to parents Charles M. Jones and Thelma Jones, Dave lived a full
and meaningful life dedicated to his family, his work, and his passions.
Dave was a devoted father to three children: David Jones and his grandchildren David Jr.,
Jackson, and Liam Jones; Amanda (Mandy) Dundovich (Mark Dundovich) and his grandchildren Joey and
Katelyn; and Charles (Dan) Jones (Sandi) and his grandchildren Tyler, Kyle, Myles, and Landon.
Great-grandchild Carter Jones, son of Myles and Caitlyn Jones.
Dave is survived by his sister Kay Hertel ( Albert Hertel). His nieces include Becky, Brenda,
Beverly, Barbara, and Becky Krause (children Blake and Brandon Krause); Brenda Sherman (
Dan Sherman) children McKenzie, Miranda, Maddie and JC). He was preceded in death by his
parents.
A dedicated professional, Charles D. Jones was a proud member of the International Union of
Operating Engineers, Local 150, for 45 years, proudly following in the footsteps of his father,
Charles M. Jones, who served the union for over 50 years.
In his free time, Dave was an avid car enthusiast with a special love for Chevrolet Corvettes and
Harley motorcycles, often finding joy in the thrill of the open road. He also enjoyed nature, fishing,
photography, The Chicago Bears and his beloved cat Tina.
Dave's legacy of love, hard work, and passion will live on through his family, who will cherish his memory forever
Visitation will be Monday, December 22, 2025, from 11 am to time of prayer service at 12 Noon, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, IL 60084. Interment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, IL.
