Charles L. Joyce of Milton, MA departed on January 11, 2026. He was born in Portsmouth, NH on November 2, 1935, to the late Delia (McDonough) and John J. Joyce, Sr. Beloved husband of the late Anne (Martin) Joyce and Patricia Lin Reedy Joyce. Devoted father of Anson C. Joyce, Neal M. Joyce and his wife Princess, Carla A. Joyce and her husband Giannis. Stepfather of Jim Reedy and his wife Astrid, Michelle Reedy and her partner John, Jeanette Reedy, Chrissy Reedy and her husband Chris. Cherished brother of John J. Joyce, Jr., Mary C. Clifford, Eileen T. Bayer, Annmarie Dickson, Margaret J. Pleasants and the late Michael P. Joyce. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and step-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He received his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering at Northeastern University and his Master's in Economics at Boston University. He worked as a surveyor to prepare for the Mass Turnpike, as a contractor for State Dept. and USAID, and lastly for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Charles was a volunteer for one of John F. Kennedy's first Peace Corps groups and served in Tanganyika (now Tanzania). This enriching experience opened him up to the world, which he shared with all.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth's Church in Milton on Saturday January 24th at 10:00am. Followed by Interment at Milton Cemetery.
