Charles was born April 25, 1964 in Kirksville, Missouri to Charles Ervin and Elmira (Lewis) Kain. Chuck is survived by: His father, Charles of Milan; Three children, Andrew (Amanda) Kain of Kearney, Missouri, Laura (Aaron) Jones of Kearney, and Cress (Andrea) Kain of Bethany, Missouri; Grandchildren, Andy Kain, Alex Kain, Shya Clark, Brayden Jones, and Kenzie Lomas; Great grandchild, Amara; Aunt, Carolyn (Larry) Magee of Milan; uncles, Ed Kain of Milan and Harold Lewis of Unionville, Missouri; and several cousins.
Chuck grew up on the farm, graduating from Putnam County R-1 High School, then from North Central Missouri College in Trenton. Over the years, he worked at Con Agra and Kraft, also moved to Florida for a time where he was a waiter. Chuck loved gardening and flowers.
A graveside service for Chuck will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, Missouri. Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Milan is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to go towards his final expenses, c/o Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home, 120 West Fourth Street, Milan, MO 63556.
