"Chuck" Charles T. Kassman Jr.
May 14, 1946 – January 26, 2024
"Chuck" Charles Thomas Kassman Jr, 77, of Crestview, Florida entered eternal rest in his home on January 26, 2024.
Chuck was born in Buffalo, New York to Charles T. Kassman Sr. and Stephanie Przewozniczek on May 14, 1946. Chuck served 27 years in the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War. Chuck was a civil engineer and obtained the rank of Chief Senior Master Sergeant.
Chuck was an example of a man driven by his purpose and faith in God. He would always challenge those around him to be the best version of themselves. Though he had a tough exterior, his heart was of gold. He would never hesitate to give his last to someone in need. No sacrifice was too big when it came to his wife and family.
Chuck leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. Early in life, he met his Liebchen, Gisela. At the young age of 22, he fell in love with the woman who stayed by his side for the rest of his life. Chuck was a loving and devoted dad and grandpa. There was never any doubt of the love Chuck had for his family.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr, and Stephanie. He is survived by his brother Anthony Kassman and wife Helen, his devoted wife of 56 years, Gisela of Crestview, FL; five children, Frank Van Bellen and wife Erika of Trier, Germany, Michael (Tony) Adams and wife Kim of Lenexa, Kansas, Diana Drake and husband Fred of Camden, NY, Silvia Warren and husband Joseph of Crestview, FL, and Joey Kassman of West Palm Beach, FL; former son-in-law Steve Price of Crestview, FL; grandchildren Dianna, Fred, Pascal, Steven, Kyle, Tiffany, Bethany, Mandy, Ian, Jennifer, Jessica and Trinity, and great-grandchildren; Brett, Brendan, Aden, Kaden, Gunner, Fred, Lexi, Mason, Oliver, and Elliott.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate his extraordinary life on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Davis-Watkins funeral home Fort Walton Beach, Florida, 113 Racetrack Road, NE. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M to 1:00 P.M. followed by the funeral. After the funeral graveside military honors will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, 316 Beal Parkway NW.
