Mr. Charles Randall Kayart, 94, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, in Warrior's Mark, Pennsylvania. Born on August 28, 1931, in Boonton, New Jersey, Charles lived a long and meaningful life marked by dedication to family, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Charles graduated from Boonton High School in Boonton, New Jersey. Shortly after completing his education, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. From 1950 to 1951, he served honorably during the Korean War-a chapter of his life that remained a source of quiet pride and enduring respect from those who knew him.
After returning home from military service, Charles built a life grounded in hard work and unwavering devotion to his loved ones. He was known for his kind heart and steadfast work ethic-qualities that defined him throughout his life and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He worked at Air Products in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania for many years before retirement.
Charles shared many cherished years with his beloved wife, Mary A. Kayhart (Wraith), who preceded him in death on May 3, 2018. Together they raised a loving family that became the center of their world while they resided in Martinsville, New Jersey and later, in Alburtis, Pennsylvania.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: daughter Dawn Cunningham and her husband George Cunningham; son Charles "Chuck" Kayhart and his wife Susan Kayhart; daughter Dale Miller and her husband Kim Miller; and son Arthur "Art" Kayhart and his wife Rita Kayhart.
Charles was a proud grandfather to Andrew Cunningham, George Cunningham, Melissa Cunningham, Erik Kayhart, Bryce Kayhart, Rachel Miller, Justin Miller, Collin Miller, Matthew Kayhart, and Noah Kayhart. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Kale Cunningham, Quinn Cunningham, Katie Cunningham, George Cunningham, Danny Cunningham, Olivia Cunningham, Piper Strelkauskus, Tucker Strelkauskus, Russell Kayhart, Iris Kayhart, Kara Miller, Evan Hensinger, Nellie Kayhart, and Xavier Kayhart.
In addition to being a devoted family man and veteran, Charles found joy in outdoor yard work and took great pride in maintaining his surroundings. He treasured time spent with family above all else. A loyal fan of Penn State football, the Dallas Cowboys, and the St. Louis Cardinals, he followed his teams with enthusiasm throughout the years.
Charles's presence brought warmth and steadiness to those around him. His kindness touched many lives-whether through quiet acts of support or simply by being someone others could always count on.
