Visit the Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Inc. - Cambridge website to view the full obituary.
Charles peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus, on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, surrounded by his family. Charles, 85, was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on February 24, 1938. He was a resident of Cambridge, Ohio for over 50 years.
Charles, son of the late George and Lillian (Miller) Kellstadt, proudly served in the United States Navy. Charles worked for Cambridge Machine and Supply Company for 30 plus years and after retirement, he worked at Walmart for over 10 years.
Charles was a devoted husband to his wife Sandra for 59 years, a loving father to daughters Karla Ewart and Kim Freeman (Jess Freeman), and a proud grandfather to Joshua Ewart (Emily Ewart), Abigail Ezzeldin (Medo Ezzeldin), Janelle Kellstadt, and Danielle Kellstadt. He cherished his role as great-grandfather to Alia Ezzeldin, and his love for family extended beyond blood, embracing his community with open arms.
Charles' heart belonged to his family and the beach, two places where he found solace and connection. He cherished the moments spent with his loved ones, creating lasting memories under the sun's embrace.
He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Northwood Cemetery.

Karla, your dad was such a nice man. Always made Steve, Brook and me feel welcome at your home. I have happy memories of watching the kids swim in the pool that he took such good care of and sitting in the swing just visiting. I'm so sorry for your loss, but thankful for the good memories.
