Charles "Chuck" Killey, age 68, of Midland, MI passed away peacefully at home. He was born on January 2, 1956. Chuck graduated from Western High School in Auburn, Mi in 1975. Throughout his life, he worked in automotive parts and service sales, lumber sales, and lastly in sporting goods at Walmart. He was a kind and upbeat soul who made many friends wherever he was.
Chuck was a loving father, grandfather and uncle who is survived by his daughter Sarah & husband Benjamin Brandt, granddaughter Victoria Brandt, nephew Marty & wife Margo Wazbinski, niece Penny & husband Jon Cooper, niece Marie Bartlett, niece Debrina Dexter, and many great nephews and nieces. He was proceeded in death by his parents Carl Killey & Mae Killey and his sister Joyce Ross. Chuck also held a special place in his heart for family of past marriages in the Chosay and Dankert families.
Chuck loved the outdoors and was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers. He treasured making many memories with family and friends on snowmobiling, hunting and fishing adventures. Chuck cherished his time living on Sanford Lake and working with the community at the marina in his retirement. Most recently, he enjoyed tracking and watching his great nephew Keaton's dog sledding journeys in Alaska.
Chuck loved animals and enjoyed the years he spent with his beloved golden lab Trace, his cats Alley, SJ and Tucker. In leu of flowers the family asks that you consider donating to the Humane Society of Midland County.
Please join the family in remembrance and celebration of Chuck's life at Rivertown Funeral Home in Kawkawlin, MI on Tuesday April 2nd, 2024, from 4-7pm followed by a short service at 7pm.
