Charles Krause, age 87, passed away on February 19, 2025. Born on July 14, 1937, in Black Creek, Wisconsin, to his loving parents, the late Clarence Krause and Ida Kiehl.
Beloved father of Clayton Krause (Vicki, dec.), Kalyn Krause, Sheryl Krause Pacheco (Charles), and the late Sherri Krause. Cherished grandfather of Tina Ferencz (Doug), Kenny Powell, Denise Reyes (Gabriel), Bob Powell, Richard Hejny (Jessica), and Clayton Krause. Great grandfather of Isaiah Peters, Shayla Byous (Eric), Jahmaari Bullock, Aiden Ferencz, Alize Reyes, Nevaeh Reyes, Charlotte Hejny, Niko Hejny, and Aubrie Krause. Great great grandfather of Eric Byous III and Elyana Byous.
Dear brother of the late Clarence "Lefty" Krause, Jr. (Sandy) and Carol Jean Fransway (Tom). Treasured uncle to a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He shared a special bond with his very dear best friend, Irma Flores.
Charles proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed daily walks, visiting the library, and watching western movies. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Inurnment will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:15 a.m., Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273 (please meet in lane by 11 a.m.).
