Published by Legacy from Sep. 3 to Sep. 10, 2025.
Charles "Bud" Walter Kuczynski was a caring father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He left this world on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the age of 74. He passed peacefully with family by his side after several days of hospice care.

Charles was born to Walter and Dorothy Kuczynski on April 19, 1951 in Wilmington, DE. He graduated from Salesianum High School and went on to study engineering at Delaware Technical Community College. Charles had a long and successful career working in the gas division at Delmarva Power, where he worked until he retired.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Walter and Dorothy Kuczynski; his sister, Dorothy Yuzon; his niece, Chelsea Kuczynski; and his first wife, the mother of his daughters, Deborah Jester.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacie Rae Shaughnessy (Mike); granddaughters, Rylee and Teagan of Wilmington, DE; daughter, Nicole Diane Kuczynski of Chesapeake City; granddaughter, Faith Patricia Warren of Hickory, NC; stepdaughter, Samantha McDaniel (Troy) of Salisbury, MD; and his grandchildren, McKenzi Sapp, Ezekiel, Zane Kuczynski, Ian, Tally, Mia, Brooklyn and Izabella.

Charles is also survived by his sister, Carol Kuczynski of New Castle, DE; his brother, Walter Kuczynski of Middletown, DE; nephews, Todd, Michael and Chad Kuczynski; nephew, Brian Kirkpatrick; niece, Kristy DuHadaway; and many extended family members and friends.

Before life circumstances and failing health stole his vitality away from him, Charles enjoyed being a member of several social clubs including St. Gabriel's, St. Anthony's and Delaware City Club, and he loved playing bocce ball and shuffleboard.

Charles also enjoyed the beach, especially Lewes, DE. He loved fishing and eating crabs. He was also a great cook and was famous for his delicious grilled chicken legs.

All services will be held privately.
