Charles Laack

Charles R. Laack, 76, of Rochester, MN, passed away on July 2, 2024. He was born on December 2, 1947, to Robert F. Laack and Gertrude C. Laack. Charles graduated from Rochester John Marshall High School in 1966 and dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to working in the street maintenance department for Rochester Public Works.
Charles had a passion for working, helping, and talking with others. He enjoyed classic country music, oldies rock and roll, and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. In his later years, Charles could often be found at hockey rinks around Minnesota, BMX tracks, in his kitchen cooking up a family favorite recipe or simply sitting in front of his house watching the activities in the field across the street.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Jenni) Laack; daughter, Katherine Laack; grandsons, Ace Laack, Christopher Marshall, Sawyer Young, Griffyn Young, and Beckett Young; brother, Steven (Susan) Laack; sister, Kay (Jim) Clark; nieces, Sarah (Kyle) Kappers-Mergen; Kimberly(Andy) Moeller; Julie Clark; Lisa(Derick) Strain; and nephew, Matthew (Peggy)Laack; Michael (Meredith) Clark.
A memorial gathering to honor Charles will be held from 4 PM to 8 PM on Friday, July 12, 2024 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.
