Charles Joseph Ligotti, Jr., 77, of Wrentham died October 11 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Boston, March 4,1948, he was the son of the late Charles and Virginia (Mancini) Ligotti of Winthrop and Falmouth.
Charles was the eldest of their three children, Virginia Compton and her late husband James and Mary Hollis and her late husband William.
H was also the cherished uncle of Aaron.
Despite suffering severe brain damage early in life, Charlie's presence radiated
warmth and love.
He spent most of his years at the Wrentham Developmental Center where he received not only exceptional care but true companionship and kindness.
The devoted caregivers at Wrentham became his second family, understanding and celebrating him for the beautiful soul he was.
He communicated with a quiet joy that transcended words. His loving gestures, twinkling eyes, and gentle humor touched the hearts of all who knew him.
He loved his family and those around him deeply and was loved in return.
He is now at peace, reunited with his parents in heaven, and embraced in the eternal love of Christ.
His graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 21 at 1:00p.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Falmouth.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to CoFar, ARC or the Wrentham Developmental Center,
