Charles Leland Lowery of Sparta, Missouri, passed away on October 20, 2025, in Ozark, Missouri, at the age of 66. Born on October 14, 1959, in Ontario, California, Charles was a son to his late parents, George and Norma Lowery. His legacy is carried on through his loving family and the many lives he touched.
Charles is survived by his siblings, Georgia Isbell, Don Lowery, and Ronald Lowery. Though he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Lloyd Isbell, and a nephew Clayton Phillips, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. Charles leaves behind his son, Todd Lowery and his wife Shawna, grandchildren, Carson, Anna, Brooklyn; and son Ty Lowery and his wife Alicia, grandchildren, Ethan, Elynn, Jaxon, Kyliegh, and Kaelynn, brought immense joy to his life. Charles also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will remember him.
Throughout his life, Charles built a reputation as a skilled bricklayer, a trade that he mastered. Charles was a man of many interests. He was an avid fisherman, a keen hunter, and a golfer with a competitive spirit. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his passion for riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, an activity that brought him great freedom and pleasure.
Charles also enjoyed watching dirt track racing. However, his greatest delight was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored. Whether he was sharing stories, teaching them how to cast a line, or simply enjoying their company, these moments were the ones he cherished most.
Charles's sense of humor was legendary; he could light up a room with his jokes and laughter. His friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure, and his ability to fix just about anything earned him the affectionate title of the family handyman.
A family directed celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Sparta First Baptist Church.
