Charles Ray Lunsford, age 79, of Waldron, Arkansas, passed from this life on October 20, 2025. He was born on January 5, 1946, to Willie and Myrtle (Slater) Lunsford in Waldron, Arkansas.
Charles was a loving father and grandfather. He worked for many years in road construction before retirement. Charles loved the great outdoors and spent much of his free time hunting, fishing, and running dogs. He also enjoyed antiquing and spending time with his friends. Family was important to Charles, and he loved spending time with them and bragging on his grandkids.
He is survived by his four children, Teresa (Roger) Gossett, Clint (Kellie) Lunsford, Tammy (Brandon) Houston, and Sayre Lunsford; his grandchildren, Lael (Jarrod) Holt, Keesha (Waylon) Brewer, John (Kelli Jo) Hall, Erica (Joey) Bolin, Andrew (Candace) Hall, Caitlin (Marcus) Stegall, Addison Lunsford, Ciara Lunsford, Rex (Delfin) Helms, Amber Eller, Clayvin Lunsford, Brantley Lunsford, Brice Hodge, along with 20 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Nelda of 61 years, his parents Willie and Myrtle Lunsford, his grandchildren Jonathan Douglas (Doug) Gossett and James Douglas (Jamie) Gossett, and his in-laws, Gaylord and Virgie Jones.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Martin Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas. A Celebration of Life for Charles will be held on November 1, 2025, location to be determined.
Arrangements are under the direction of Martin Funeral & Cremation – Waldron.
