Mr. Charles Manis, age 60 of Emory Heights community passed away January 18, 2025, at his home. He was a member of the Emory Heights Baptist Church. Charles was a truck driver, over the road and dump truck, for many years. He loved going fishing and spending time with family and friends


He is preceded in death by his parents: Vic & Mary Manis.

Sisters: Sharon Pickard, Darlene Pickard, and Patricia Green.

Brother: Billy Jo Manis.

Grandchildren: Zoe Burum and Kasey Burum.


He is survived by his son: C.E. Manis & Heather.

Two daughters and sons-in-law: Summer & Jason Turpin and Casey & Bryson Burum.

Seven grandchildren: Lindsey, Whitley, Molly, Baylee, E.J., J.J. and Charlee.

Two brothers: Johnny & Melinda Davis and Larry Poore, Jr.

Six sisters: Margaret Davis, Barbara & Larry Murray, Vickie & Danny Gouge, Brenda & David Bailey, Tammy & Ronnie Stockton, and Donna & Jason Osborne.

And many nieces, nephews, and friends.


The family will receive friends at his home: 279 McKinney Rd, Harriman from Monday January 20, 2025, at 12:00 Noon until 9:00 PM on Tuesday January 21, 2025. Body will lie in state from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon on Wednesday January 22, 2025, at Mossy Grove Baptist Church with funeral services following at 12:00 PM. with Bro. Ronnie Stockton officiating. Graveside services will follow in the church cemetery.
