Charles Donald Martin passed from this earthly home on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Martin, age 75, will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 2 P.M. in the sanctuary of Chapel Hill Baptist Church near Medina with Dr. Keith Adams and Bro. Mike Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Bakers Chapel Cemetery near Medina. Visitation with the family will be held at the church from 11 A.M. till service time.
Charles was born to CD and Velma Harper Martin on March 10, 1950. He was the youngest of four brothers, Robert Martin, wife Patsy, the late Larry Martin, wife Ann, and Harry Martin, wife Martha.
Charles married the love his life, Becky Johnson Martin, 51 years ago on December 29, 1973. Together they had one son, their joy, David. David and Elizabeth have Charles and Becky’s two delightful grandsons, Corbin and Cash, who Charles adored greatly.
Mr. Martin was a long-time truck driver for Roadway Express for over 20 years and a small business owner for 17 years. He also had a passion for farming and raising cattle in years past. Mr. Martin was also a proud member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church for 50 plus years.
Pallbearer to serve are: David Nelson, Merle Cash, Jimmy Vinson, Tony Darby, Bobby Martin, Mark Lessenberry.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in his memory to the Bakers Chapel Cemetery Fund: 266 Nowell Rd. Medina, TN 38355 or Chapel Hill Baptist Church Building Fund: 76 Chapel Hill Rd. Milan, TN 38358.
