Charles William Martin, 70, of East Stroudsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 24, 1954, and growing up in oxford, NJ. He was the son of the late Harry Martin Sr. and Frances (Fogel) Fichtel Martin. Charles was a devoted husband, father and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness, dedication, and sense of humor.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Vibbert Martin: his daughter, Jennifer: his son, Joseph, daughter-in-law, Leslie and sisters, Judith Duane, Elsie Crominic, many sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers, Harry Martin, Harold and Richard Fichtel. Charles cherished his family above all and took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
Charles was born and raised in Oxford, NJ. After marrying his wife, Patricia in 1975, they lived and raised their children in Independence Township, NJ; retiring in East Stroudsburg, PA.
Professionally, Charles was a Blue Seal Stationary Engineer at Hackettstown Community Hospital, where he dedicated 40 years of service, ensuring the facility operated seamlessly. His hard work, expertise, and reliability earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Charles will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his commitment to his work, his skilled expertise in just about everything, charismatic personality and the warmth he brought to everyone he met.
He will forever remain in our hearts and walk beside us.
