Charles J. Maynes, Jr. of
Southampton, PA died, at his home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. He was 90.
He was the beloved husband of over six years to Lorraine Stahl Rice.
Born in
Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Maynes Sr. and Elizabeth McCormac Maynes where he was a faithful member of Saint Helena's Parish and elementary school. He graduated from both LaSalle High School and LaSalle College where he majored in accounting. A proud citizen, he enrolled and served our country in the United States Army for two years.
Charlie was the devoted husband of 54 years to his late wife Barbara Duffy Maynes, father of the late Christine Maynes and great-grandfather of the late Sean and Kelly Donahue and Lorelei Raine Sweet, brother of the late Sister Marie Maynes, IHM.
In addition to Lorraine, he is survived by his four daughters; Karen H. Maynes of Philadelphia, Andrea L. Donahue and her husband Timothy Donahue of Feasterville, Pamela M. Drobish and her husband Steven H. Drobish of Philadelphia, and Kristen M. Ferns and her husband Richard P. Ferns of Chalfont, and his brother Leo Maynes and his wife Nancy of Virginia. He is also survived by his seven adoring grandchildren; Christine (Dennis), Kerri, Shannon, Steven, Erin, Patrick and Brynn and seven great grandchildren, Charlotte, Nicholas, Ryan, Blake, Liam, Jeffrey and Parker.
He is cousin to Reverend Monsignor Michael McCormac, Pastor of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, Fairless Hills, PA and to Walt and Marianne McCormac of Audubon, New Jersey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A faithful servant of God, he lived his life with the motto, "Thy Will Be Done." He shared his deep faith with many as a daily communicant at Our Lady of Good Council Church.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Knowles Ave.,
Southampton, PA 18966. His interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
