It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Chuck on March 28, 2025 at the age of 57. Chuck was a kind, gentle soul who brought joy, love, and laughter to everyone around him. Though he faced many challenges throughout his life, he carried them with quiet strength, always surrounded by the unwavering support of his family.
As a child, Chuck loved riding his Green Machine, watching Star Wars, and taking trips to the pool with his sister, Kim and brother Brian. These cherished moments of joy remained in his heart throughout his life. As he grew older, Chuck found great comfort in riding the Cuyahoga County Scenic Railroad, where he would watch the world go by from the train-a tradition that brought him peace.
Chuck's father, Dennis, was a constant and devoted presence in his life. Dennis made sure Chuck was always included, taking him to dinners, to the movies, and ensuring he felt loved and cared for. His love for
Chuck never wavered, continuing the care his mother had always given. Even when Chuck hesitated, Dennis's love remained steadfast.
Chuck adored his sister, Kim, and his nephew, Joey, whom he never failed to ask about. He found great joy in spending time with his family, whether it was watching his nephew Joeys friends play basketball, the guys from his home bowling, or just enjoying time with his friends at the house. Chucks favorite job was at GE packing light bulbs many years ago. Currently he had been attending the workshop which he did not care for.
What truly made him happiest was being surrounded by those who made him feel safe and valued.
Chuck moved into a group home about 22 years ago, where he built new friendships, but he always kept his family close to his heart. He formed strong bonds with his friends at the home, and he was always loved and cared for by the community there.
Chuck is survived by his devoted father, Dennis Lebowitz; his loving sister, Kim Coneglio and his nephew, Joey Coneglio. Though Chuck couldn't always express his needs, those who loved him understood him completely. Now, Chuck is at peace, reunited with his mother and his brother, Brian, riding the scenic route in heaven.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy L. (nee: Wakeham) (Meyer) Lebowitz; his brother, Brian J. Meyer and his grandparents, Lester and Inez Wakeham.
Chuck will forever be remembered for his sweet nature, his love for life's simple joys, and the warmth he brought to everyone he met. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest in peace, dear Chuck. You will always be loved, and your memory will forever, remain in our hearts.
