Charles "Chuck" Millan
Charles "Chuck" Millan, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away surrounded by family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Kit, his daughter Megan (33), and sons James (31) and Liam (30). He also leaves behind his brothers Glenn and Jimmy.
Chuck wore many hats throughout his life. He served his community as a volunteer Fireman and EMT at the Westbury Fire Department, and proudly built a successful heating company, Pulse Combustion Inc., from the ground up. He started the business when he was just 22 years old and went on to own and operate it for over 45 years. He was deeply passionate about his work, often doing paperwork in the back of a van in the early days. With his hands, he could fix just about anything, and if he couldn't, he'd find a way to learn.
Outside of work, Chuck found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved relaxing by the pool, spending time at the beach, and watching sunsets. He also loved planning a party and bringing people together, whether it was a backyard barbecue or just an afternoon with friends and family. He was a devoted dog lover, sharing his life with Smooch, Lulu, and now Rudy. He had a deep love of history, particularly World War I and II, and could recall events and stories with remarkable detail.
Chuck was a natural storyteller. As you know, most of his stories started with "I remember years ago," and if you heard one more than once, it was because it was a good one. His memories and humor brought people together and helped keep the past alive.
A proud member of the fellowship for 20 years, Chuck was deeply committed to his recovery and to helping others on their journeys. He was an active member of his home group and offered support, mentorship, and compassion to countless individuals.
Chuck is reunited with his parents, Geraldine and James Millan, his brothers Bruce and Doug, his sister Pam, and dear angels Lauren, Jay, Therese, and many more.
He was taken from us too soon. We will cherish our memories, celebrate his life, and honor his legacy. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
