Charles Wayne Mitchell

Funeral services for Charles W. Mitchell will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 17, 2023 at Central Baptist Church in Robeline, Louisiana with the Reverend Tony Moran officiating. Interment will follow at Central Cemetery in Robeline, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 9am until 11:00am on June 17, 2023 at Central Baptist Church in Robeline. Charles was born October 16, 1957 in Natchitoches, Louisiana and passed away at 11:54 pm on June 13, 2023 in Baytown, Texas.

Charles was a loving husband, son, brother and friend to all, he never met a stranger. He was a hardworking, compassionate and fun-loving man. He worked hard and played hard, he earned everything he acquired and believed in hard work. Charles worked in the oilfields for several years. Charlie enjoyed life and being around his friends and family. Charlie loved working in the yard and garden growing fresh vegetables and pretty flowers. He liked collecting arrowheads, war memorabilia, reading history books and watching war documentaries. Archie Bunker was his hero; he has watched every episode made and could quote them when watching re-runs. Charles and his wife Linda loved traveling every chance they got and spending time just being together.

Charlie is survived by his wife Linda Lovvorn Mitchell of Baytown, Texas, his step son Richard Dewitt Nugent. Sisters Carolyn Toney, Audrey Malkki and Felecia Mitchell, and his brother Aubrey Mitchell. Nieces - Kayla Mathis, Holly Mitchell, Brandi Mitchell, Rose Mitchell, Courtney Sarpy and Ashley Durham. Nephews - Kyle Baker, Sean Baker, Brock Carpenter, David Toney and Charles “Little C” Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his father James lrven Mitchell, his mother Anita LeMoine Mitchell, a brother William Mitchell and great niece Teegan Stewart.

Pallbearers will be Dewitt Nugent, David Toney, Kyle Baker, Leonard Sarpy, Corey Malkki and Joshua William Davis.
