Charles P. Monte

Charles P. Monte Jr. died after a short illness at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT., on March 18, 2010 at the age of 90, long time resident of Guilford. He was an employee at Simkins Carton Company until he retired. He was also a WWII veteran, SGT, in the U.S. Army Air Forces, serving in the South Pacific. Charles was born in New Haven, CT., 1920. He is survived by his wife Mary V. Monte of 60yrs. He also leaves behind 6 children, Barbara Monte (Joe) of Tehachapi, CA; Patricia Aronson (Stanley) of Killingworth, CT.; Linda Monte of MD.; Mary Sanderlin (Charles) of Branford, CT.; Constance Monte (John) of Madison, CT.; Robert Monte of San Francisco, CA., his daughter-in-law, Darlene Monte of North Branford, and his son Charles Monte III, who predeceased him in 2007; and 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two sisters, Dorothy Ruotolo & Eleanor Ruotolo of Guilford, CT. Funeral Services will be held at the Guilford Funeral Home on 115 Church Street, Guilford, CT. on Mar 23rd, at 9:30 and the burial will take place immediately afterwards, at Alder Brook Cemetery, on Boston Street Guilford, CT. at 10:30.
