Charles D. Morrison, Jr., 75, of Union Township, Pennsylvania, passed away at his home on November 6, 2025 from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
He was born June 3, 1950 to the late Charles Sr. and Esther Morrison. Chuck graduated from Union HS and earned a BS in Education from Geneva College. He began his career as an elementary teacher for Union Area School District where he modeled a passion for learning and inspired his students to be community minded. He also served as a Union Township Supervisor. He retired from teaching after 30+ years.
Known as a promoter of peace, Chuck was a strong advocate for most of his life. He loved reading history books and tending his beautiful flower gardens in his valley. He enjoyed his book club, Sunday bonfire friends, and retired teacher group.
Above all, Chuck was devoted to his wife of 49 years, Linda (Bender) Morrison. He is also survived by his stepson Jim Baynham currently of New Castle and his stepdaughter Barbara (Baynham) Miller and son-in-law Rick of St. Leonard, Maryland.
Chuck was proud of his grandchildren: Stefan (Sarah) Miller of California, Maryland, Mikayla (Corbin) Mains of Arlington, Ohio, and Leah Baynham and Sydney Stift both of Follansbee, West Virginia. He also looked forward to being a great-grandparent this January and April.
Chuck is also survived by his sister Edna Mae (Nick) Diana, his sister-in-law Som McClenahan, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his half-brother, Dan McClenahan and his sister Lucille (Morrison) Kapostasy.
The family would like to thank all of the caregivers from Home Instead, our friend John, and niece Danyel who helped care for Chuck.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in the summer of 2026.
