Charles Moses Obituary
Charles was a longtime member of the Lawrence Fire Department, where he served as fire chief from 1990-2000. He also served on the Lawrence Quick Response Team. In addition, he was a member of the Van Buren County Fire Chiefs Association, the Lawrence Jaycees, and the Paw Paw United Methodist Church. In his free time, Charles enjoyed trout fishing, hunting and trapping fox and mink.
On July 2, 1955, Charles married Leah Haney, who survives.
He is also survived by his two daughters, Alice (Gary) Burnside and Teri Sue (Steve) Moses; four grandchildren, Chris (Ann) Tapper, Craig (Megan) Tapper, Glen (Erika) Burnside, Chad (Elleigh) Burnside; along with many great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeri Tapper, four brothers and one sister.
Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, Dec. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, where a memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Charles will be placed to rest at Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Centrica Care Navigators - Rose Arbor Hospice.

I just heard today, of Charlie's death. He was a good man. I loved to hear his stories when Jeri and I would visit he and Leah on Saturday mornings. The great news is he is with Jeri and I know they are both smiling! Our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
