Charles A. Mullins II, 53, Fargo, ND, died Friday, March 31, 2023 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo.

Charles Adrian Mullins II was born July 27, 1969, in Greenville, SC, to Charles Sr. and Karen (Miller) Mullins.   The family resided in Devils Lake, ND for a few years before moving to Fargo, ND in 1978.

Chuck attended Ben Franklin Elementary School in Fargo. While attending high school at Fargo North, Chuck was active with the ROTC program for four years.  In 1989, he attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.   Chuck was united in marriage to Ushunda Phipps and they welcomed a son, Charles Adrian Mullins III.  Chuck and Ushunda later divorced.

While raising his son and living in Chicago, Chuck worked two jobs.  He worked delivery during the day and at Astor House during the nights.   On September 28, 1996, Chuck was united in marriage to Tonya Eslinger.   They welcomed four children, Eric, Elijah, Mackenzie and Hadley.

In May of 2000, Chuck and Tonya moved back to Fargo to be closer to family.   He worked for Harker’s Meats, was a purchasing manager at FSA (Food Services of America) and delivery for Cass Clay, where he was well known as the “milkman” to the lunch crew with West Fargo Public Schools.    When time allowed, Chuck also delivered for Pizza Hut and Happy Joe’s.   He was actively involved his entire life with Child Evangelism Fellowship in Fargo-Moorhead.  He left a legacy of four generations of service with CEF.

In June 2021, Chuck was diagnosed with cancer.  He tried his best to continue providing for his family but was forced to retire as his health declined.

Chuck enjoyed many things in life, a good laugh, a funny Dad joke (which he had plenty of), reading, traveling, and was the “king” at Trivia Pursuit.  Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his wife and children.

His family will miss his quick wit, welcoming smile and wonderful sense of humor, but knowing he now rests in the arms of Jesus, makes us all smile and repeat the words from our Savior, “Well done, my Good and Faithful servant.”

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Tonya; their children, Charles III (Jessica) Mullins, Eric (Meghan) Pike, Elijah Mullins, Mackenzie Mullins and Hadley Mullins; eight grandchildren; parents, Charles (Karen) Mullins; brothers, Christopher (Barb) Mullins, Joseph (Christa) Mullins, Daniel (Bethany) Mullins and Gregory Eslinger (brother-in-law); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerome (Jolene) Eslinger; sister-in-love, Lois Lepard; daughters-in-love, Chelsie Eggers and Katelyn Olson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and infant sister, Angela.
