Charles Murphy Obituary
Charles L. Murphy, 86, of Cleveland, TN, walked into the arms of his Savior on Friday, July 5th.
Charles was born on April 15, 1938 in Dayton, TN, to Tom and Lorraine Murphy.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and two brothers, Joe and Ellis Murphy.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty; his daughters Renee Colvin and Deanna Truelove; and his son, Eddie; six sisters Wanda Harris, Laura Morrow, Rusty Wise, Jane Underwood, Mary Works and Sandra Lawson; two brothers, Roy and James Earl Murphy; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, all of Cleveland, TN.
Charles was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Tennessee Vols. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of East Cleveland Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Olive Branch Event Center, 109 Interstate Dr NW, Cleveland, TN beginning with visitation from 10:30 to 12:30pm. Funeral service will start at 12:30pm, with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 2pm.
