Charles "Charlie" W. Nash, 94, Marion, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on August 7, 1927, to Claude and Audra (Hall) Nash. On June 10, 1947, he married Beatrice I. Fights.
Charlie attended Jefferson High School. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a supervisor at General Motors for over thirty years until retiring. Charlie loved golfing, traveling, and spending time with family. He also loved playing the drums; he was in many bands over the years and recently played with One-Way Heaven Bound.
Survivors include his son, Gary W. (Cindi) Nash; grandchildren, Shelly (Ron Reese) Rogers, Doug Nash and Melissa (Kelly) Lamb; brother, Kenneth Nash; mother of grandchildren, Diane Foreman; step-grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Yocum and Leah Hiles; great- grandchildren, Jenna (Bryan) Jackson, Megan (Marcus Sanders) Rogers, Erika (Josh Randolph) Rogers, Morgan Lamb, Alex Lamb, Riley (Ahmad Nunnally) Lamb, Brittany (Austin Armstrong) Nash, Dylan (Hannah) Nash, Zack Nash, Sophia Nash; step-great-grandchildren, Matthew Yocum, James Mills, Savannah Herrera, and Troy Mills; great-great grandchildren, Carter, Ty, Brady, Emmiett, Delilah, Jude, Noah, Luke and Demi; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 75 years, Bea, parents, brother, Claude Jackson Nash, Jr.; and sister, Rosa Camille Hunnifeld.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Charles' life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Matthews Cemetery.
