With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Charles 'Chuck' E. Norgaard on July 22, 2025. Born in Sandpoint, Idaho, on October 14, 1941, he spent his early years in Bremerton, Washington, before settling in Auburn, Washington, where he lived much of his life.

After graduating from West High School in Bremerton, Chuck had several jobs before beginning his retirement career as a sanitation engineer for King County. His life was marked by a quiet strength, a deep kindness, and a heart always open to others, especially the stray cats he lovingly welcomed into his home.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeannette Burns, his parents, three sisters-Fern Schoneman, Susan Rutherford, and Jane Norgaard-and many loved ones who went before him. He is survived by his devoted brother, Bill Norgaard (Faye), 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephew, all of whom cherished his steady presence and generous spirit.

Chuck found his greatest joy in his family, sharing scenic drives with his brother Bill and spending time with his daughters, Charlena "Boo" Eklund (David), Petres Allen (Tim), Cheryl Jensen (Joe), Marcia Becker (Robert), and Terri Smith (Rodney). His love, warmth, and gentle humor will remain in our hearts always.

He will be remembered as a kind soul whose quiet compassion touched all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the strength of his daughters, and the stories that will be told for generations.
