Charles Joseph Normandin
June 20, 1938 — October 27, 2025
Mr. Charles J. Normandin, 87, a longtime resident of the Flat Rock Road in Morrisonville, NY passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh, NY. He was born in Plattsburgh on June 20, 1938, the son of the late James and Isola (Caron) Normandin. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Barbara (Rabideau), daughter Jean Yildiz and her daughter Isabella, son Larry’s partner Maryellen Favreau and his sisters, Theresa Trombley, Edith Rachlis, Alice Senecal, Barbara Normand and brother Claude. He is survived by his, children and their spouses; son Larry Normandin, daughter Ann and Jeff Fredenburg and their children Charlie, Hunter, and Gage Fredenburg, daughter Jean’s husband Ali Yildiz, their children; Ibrahim and Halle, son Bernard Normandin and Jennifer and daughter Tina and Daniel Chauvin and their children Alexzandra and Raigan, his siblings; Bernadette Alexander, Ethel Barkley, James and Lisa, Phillip and Marga, and Wendy Provost, his 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was a life member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman since November 1963. He enjoyed being with his family while traveling, hunting, fishing and playing at the casinos. Charles greatly loved spending time at the Mother Cabrini's Shrine & St. Patrick's Oratory in Peru – a very spiritual place for him.
There will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 11:00am at St. Alexander’s Church. A reception in at the church will be held after the mass, and burial will follow in St. James’s Cemetery in Cadyville, NY.
