Charles Orr Obituary
Charles E. Orr, formerly from Litchfield, CT, died peacefully on February 7th, 2026 in Nashua, NH where he had lived for the past twelve years. While living in Litchfield for 56 years, Charlie and his wife, Jean, owned and managed New Milford Volkswagen for 25 years. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church in Bantam, active in town politics, a member of the Litchfield Lions Club, the Bantam Fire Department and he served on the board of directors for the First National Bank of Litchfield. In his retirement, he became a ski instructor at Mohawk Mountain helping many children learn to ski.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, of Nashua, NH; Four sons and their families: Douglas (Kathleen) Orr, Ted (Kristen) Orr both of Litchfield, CT, Kenneth (Linda) Orr of Harwinton, CT and Lawrence (Helliana) Orr of Valencia, PA, 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and countless friends.

Bruce had a strong relationship with Charlie for many years as the owner of New Milford Volkswagen. Eventually, Charlie convinced Bruce to work for NMVW and they enjoyed many more years together as Charlie´s son, Ted, took over the business. Bruce always remembered Charlie as a friend. May Charlie Rest in Peace.
