Charles A. Pace

Charles A. Pace, age 82, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 just three days after the passing of his beloved spouse, Arlene Pace and on her birthday.
Mr. Pace was born on October 13, 1943, in Carrollton, Georgia, to the late Benton F. Pace and the late Mabey C. Pace. He worked for many years as a machinist at K & K Machine Shop. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966 as a 3rd Class Gunner's Mate.
He is survived by his stepsons, Donald Bennett and Greg Pugh and his wife Brandy; his stepdaughters, Brenda Buffington and Patricia Vento; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Pace and his 1st wife, Annie Mae Pace, by his grandson, Chris Roberts; and by his sister, Jo Pace.
Visitation and funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. (CST) at Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church, 81 County Road 421, Newell, Alabama. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. (CST) with Pastor Brian Smith officiating.
Entombment will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 1 PM (EST) in Memorial Park Cemetery, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30504.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church, 81 County Road 421, Newell, Alabama.
