Charles was born on June 12, 1955 to Doris and Charles Pendergast, Sr.
He served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was a business owner of PVC Fence Systems of Florida, where he was the largest manufacturer of PVC fencing in the South East until he retired. Charles was a huge New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. He loved to go on cruises and travel around the world.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Doris and Charles Pendergast, Sr., his son, Charles Joseph Pendergast, III, and sister, Patricia Murray.
He is survived by three children; daughter, Melissa Benda (Joseph) and their children, Anthony and Kimberly Benda; son, Brent Pendergast (Sharon) and their children, Alexia and Ava; and daughter, Rachel Pendergast and her four children, Aliyah, Isaac, Charleigh, and Alexander; long-term companion, Lisa Gregory; and two sisters, Jean Bouchard (Joseph) and Debra Renna (Terry).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 10:00AM at Sts. Rose & Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
