Charles "Chuck" Richard Pennington, 85, passed away in Bushnell, Florida on January 6, 2026. He was born in Louisa, Kentucky on August 30, 1940 to Richard and Marie Pennington. Chuck was a member of Harvest Baptist Church of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida and the Econfina Tribe of Florida, a Christian Tribe. He was a hard worker and enjoyed driving. Chuck loved his community and started the neighborhood watch program Lake Panasoffkee and the Town Hall meetings. He worked closely with the Sheriffs Department and liked to keep everyone informed and keeping his community safe. Most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mildred "Faye" Pennington of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida; daughters: Lore Summers of Clinton, Tennessee, Kimberly Boston (Jeff) of Salineville, Ohio, and Tina Fluharty (Kevin) of New Cumberland, West Virginia; son: Anthony Vince "Tony" Johnson of Sumterville, Florida, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and many loving extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Marie Pennington. Please plant a tree in memory of Chuck Pennington. A visitation will be held at Purcell Chapel on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm with a service to follow at 1:00pm. Charles,
You were an amazing guy that loved the community of Lake Panasoffkee. You started the "town hall" meetings with great pride and joy. I enjoyed our talks and the town meetings. You will be greatly missed by all those that knew you.
You did good for Lake Pan residents. So thank you for all you have done.
Go rest in peace now, your legacy, im sure will carry on.
