Marva Jane Pennington, aged 74, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away at her home on February 22, 2026. Born on December 28, 1951, in Beaver, Oklahoma, she was the beloved daughter of William Walter and Donnie Belle Rhodes.

Marva graduated from Beaver High School in 1970 and later pursued her passion for nursing, earning an Associates Degree in Nursing from Eastern Oklahoma State College in May 2000. On December 12, 1979, she married Gordon Arthur Pennington in Houston, Texas, and together they shared a loving partnership for forty-six remarkable years. Marva was a member of the Eufaula First United Methodist Church, where her warmth and kindness touched many lives.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon, and their cherished daughters: Crystal Pennington of Eufaula and Stephanie Schiffli, along with her husband Andy, also of Eufaula; their son, Will Pennington, and his wife Brandy of Eufaula. Marva is also survived by her brother, Dan Rhodes, and his wife Jan, as well as nine adoring grandchildren Devin Schiffli and wife Brandy, Blake Pennington and wife Alison, Madeline Schallhorn and husband Grant, Katelyn Pennington, Sydney Schiffli, Shayleigh Johnson, Merrick Schiffli, Aceton Pennington and Collins Schiffli who brought her immense joy and one nephew Danny Rhodes.

Marva was preceded in death by her parents, William Walter and Donnie Belle Rhodes, and a niece, Sarah Pauli. Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to her family will be forever cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at the C.L. Cooper Building on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 6pm to 8pm.
