Charles Francis Perry, 79, of Derry, NH, passed away at the High Pointe Hospice House on October 15, 2023 following a long illness. Born in Medford, MA on December 22, 1943, he was a son of the late William and Eugenia (Buxton) Perry. He shared 12 years of marriage with his wife, Colleen (Beauchemin) Perry.
Charles's formative years were spent in Malden, Massachusetts. He and Colleen chose to make Derry, New Hampshire their home in 1994. One of Charles's greatest sources of strength and support was his extended family within the welcoming community of Alcoholics Anonymous. This tight-knit support network, akin to a loving "village," offered unwavering aid to Charles and Colleen, particularly during the challenging moments of his illness. His love for golf was undeniable and a source of immense joy in his life.
Charles is survived by his wife, Colleen Perry of Derry, NH; his son, Matthew Perry and his wife Daniela of Malden, MA; his son-in-law, Bob Wickwire of Wakefiled, MA; his grandchildren, Dylan and Joshua Wickwire, of Wakefield, MA; his step-sons, Sean LeBlanc and his wife Rachel, along with their daughter, Rosie, of Norway, ME, Benjamin LeBlanc and his wife Vanessa of Hudson, NH, and Seth LeBlanc and his significant other, Rachel, of Manchester, NH. In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela Wickwire of Wakefield, MA.
Services for Charles will be held on Friday, October 27th at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Family and friends are invited to gather from 5-6PM with a Memorial Service taking place at 6PM.
In Charles's memory, let us honor his legacy by asking ourselves a question he often posed: "Who did you help today?" Instead of sending flowers, we kindly request that you carry forward Charles's legacy of kindness and generosity by performing acts of goodwill and providing assistance to others. In doing so, we can pay a fitting tribute to a man who made it his life's mission to spread love and support throughout his community.
