Charles C. Plues Jr., age 81, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away Thursday evening, January 8th, 2026, at Hospice of Western Reserve in Medina.
Chuck was born on November 16th, 1944, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to the late Charles C. Plues Sr. and Mildred Helfer. He was a longtime resident of Brunswick and a proud member of the VFW of Brunswick, the Moose, and the Eagles, Aerie 2224.
Chuck enjoyed an active life and had a passion for golfing, bowling, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He also loved visiting casinos and watching his favorite sporting events. Above all, Chuck cherished time spent with his family.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Jean Plues and mom, Mary (Robertson) Plues. He is survived by his loving children, Michael (Julie) Plues of Brunswick, Ohio, and Michele (Rob) Brenenstuhl of Valley City, Ohio; his grandchildren, Lindsey (Scot), Justin, Patrick, Makaela, Morgan, Zach, and Josh; his great-grandchildren, Aiden, Emilee, and Cotton; his siblings, Linda (Richard) Kinder, Tamara (Gene) Hudson, Daryl Plues (Deb, deceased), and Beth Frederick; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, Brunswick Chapel, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio, with Gene Hudson officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
