Charles William “Charlie” Priscopo, age 81, of Clifton Heights PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family.
Charles was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 5, 1945 to the late Anna Marie Priscopo (nee Pizi) and Frank Priscopo, and later became a resident of Delaware County for over 80 years.
Charlie lived a life rich in purpose and dedication, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing him. He followed in the proud footsteps of his late father, becoming a steadfast figure within the Operating Engineers Local 542 Union. His journey began as an operator, transforming through the ranks to become a business agent, and ultimately culminating his illustrious career as the Assistant Business Manager. Throughout his years of service, Charlie devoted most of his life to the International Union of Operating Engineers, where he ardently championed the rights of every union member, demonstrating an unwavering commitment not only to their welfare but also to the political fabric of his community. His influence, forged in the crucible of hard work and tenacity, will leave an indelible mark long after his presence is sorely missed.
Beyond the workplace, Charlie's spirit was characterized by a love of life and a devotion to his family. He was a man of integrity, someone who truly said what he meant and meant what he said. Whether he was outfitted in his finest attire or sharing laughter during summer months spent by the water, he embraced each moment with joy. His passions included fishing, boating, and hunting, as well as cherishing time spent in his vintage red pickup truck. Yet, most dear to his heart were his children and grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable happiness.
Charlie Priscopo will be remembered not just for his professional accomplishments but also for the warmth and generosity he bestowed upon those around him. His zest for life and his ability to forge meaningful connections will forever echo in the hearts of his loved ones.
Charlie was the loving father of Melissa Joyce (James), Francis Priscopo, and Charles Priscopo (Eleni); adoring grandfather of Jessica, Joseph, Danielle (Marcos), Patrick (Ashlie), Taylor (Hana), Alexandria, Dylan (Erin), Mikayla (Dave), Antonio, Nicholas, and Loukas; caring great grandfather of Mateo, Jaxon, Evelyn, and Milani. Charles is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly.
