Joann Mallory, age 71, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and heartfelt conversations. Joann lived a life centered around connection — she could happily talk to anyone about anything. Whether it was a deep discussion, a shared story, or a quick chat in the checkout line, Joann had a gift for making people feel seen and heard.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of almost 50 years, Joseph Mallory (75), whose partnership and companionship were the foundation of her life. She also leaves behind her two sons, Joseph Mallory (44) and Brad Mallory (37), who were the pride and joy of her life. Joann’s love for her family was steady, generous, and unconditional.
A true cat lover, Joann found comfort and companionship in her feline friends, who were always lucky to have her affection. She delighted in simple pleasures — a cozy moment at home, a spirited conversation, and occasionally, a nice glass of wine shared with family or friends.
Joann will be remembered for her open heart, her welcoming spirit, and the way she could turn even the smallest interaction into something meaningful. Her laughter, kindness, and genuine curiosity about others will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her memory will live on in the stories told around many dining tables, in the comfort of beloved pets, and in the love she gave so freely.
Relatives and friends are invited to a gathering to celebrate Joann's life on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave, Morton, PA.
