William Talamini Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Leary Funeral Home Ltd. on Mar. 7, 2026.
William "Fester" Talamini, 67, of Clifton Heights, PA, passed away on March 3, 2026. Born August 2, 1958, he was the son of the late John Talamini and Catherine Talamini (née Murphy).

He is survived by his sisters Joanne (Charles) and Susan Robinson (née Talamini), and his niece Michelle and her family. He was preceded in death by his brother John.

Bill grew up in Clifton Heights and attended Sacred Heart School and Monsignor Bonner High School. He was an avid deepsea fisherman, loved traveling, exploring microbrew beers and taking brewery tours, and cheering on all Philadelphia sports. A devoted animal lover, he cared for many pets throughout his life. His current pet family consists of his dog Rosie, and his three cats, Pickles, Pistol and Murphy. Besides dogs and cats, he had Jack Dempseys and Oscars (fish), various birds, his Parrot and Iggy the Iguana. He found it hard to say no to strays that needed love and care. He was recognized at many places from working in the Pet Store at the Bazaar. You can see his blue Plymouth Horizon in one of the scenes at theend of the Bazaar of All Nations Movie. A Delco celebrity.

He was an avid fan of the Grateful Dead, a Deadhead who saw every show in Philadelphia throughout the 80s. He also loved traveling to other states to see the Dead too. He was friends with Chubby Checker and Joe Frazier. He met Alan Parson of the Alan Parson Project in Bethlehem and remained friends with a few band members.

Over the years he acquired a few nicknames like BT, Turtle and the one that stuck the most was Fester. He loved that name. And we did too.

He loved adventure. He went on a twelve-hour round-trip drive to Youngstown OH just to buy fireworks. He rode in a helicopter. He lived at Sterling Harbor Marina for many summers where he developed his love for deep-sea fishing. He especially loved the trips to Baltimore Canyons for tuna. He enjoyed going to the Garden State Racetrack to bet on the horses. He enjoyed his trips down the AC Expressway for a night at the casinos with his friends. He did not like camping.

He was a season ticket holder for the 1984 Philadelphia Stars and celebrated their championship season. He loved going to see his sports teams. He was a fan of lacrosse and attended many games over the years. He celebrated championship games by the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers and Flyers.

He was always there for his friends. A shirt off his back kind of guy. Respected and loved

He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and warm spirit.

My prayers are with you guys during this difficult time! Billy was so cool! We met during John Harvard's days, and he always talked about going to his place down the shore and his cats!
